Diplomatic Community Great boutique grocery store located in Downtown Belfast that has lots of locally produced fruits, veggies, and goods, like some locally-made kimchi we picked up that was fantastic. The Good: *It's important to note that since this is a "co-op," that it's a community-owned organization; anyone can apply to be an owner for $200/year which includes discounts and other benefits. *The store was clean, organized, and stocked with all manner of goodies. *Friendly employees The Meh: *Probably not a "complete" grocery store in regards to the products they carry, if that makes sense. Probably more in-line with a higher-end Trader Joe's than a typical grocery store. The Ugly: *Located in Downtown Belfast, the parking can always be a little dicey especially during the tourist season. Conclusion: Great grocery store to visit if you're staying nearby at an AirBnB and need some food stuff to cook up at home.

We LOVE the Belfast Community Co-op!!! We love it so much, we're members. Although we live in Bucksport, we make a weekly drive out to BCC for our specialty plant-based foods since they carry a LOT of stuff that simply aren't in our local supermarkets. Produce is always fresh and local. The staff is always super friendly. The newly-renovated expansion makes for a much more spacious shopping experience. Great new displays! Now, with it being fabulously renovated, the 22-mile drive to the Belfast Community Co-op is a no-brainer...!!! :D
